Adam Chin

Adam Chin is an independent filmmaker and computer graphics artist. His computer animated film Opéra Industriel (with Richard Cohen) won a Golden Gate Award at the San Francisco International Film Festival, and his live-action short film Normal Deviate Behavior (with John Voltz) won a Golden Carp Award at the Seattle Asian American Film Festival.  In 2004 he wrote and directed the feature film Maladaptive which starred Graham Cowley.


Adam has also done computer graphics for hundreds of broadcast graphics, commercials and films.  He was one of the original employees of Pacific Data Images, a pioneering computer graphics company which was later acquired by Dreamworks Animation.  His feature film credits include Heart and Souls (uncredited), Natural Born Killers (uncredited), Batman Forever, Batman & Robin, Forces of Nature, The Peacemaker, Shrek 2, Madagascar, Shrek the Third, Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, Monsters vs. Aliens, How to Train Your Dragon, Megamind, Kung Fu Panda 2, Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted, and Rise of the Guardians.


Adam is a graduate of Yale and Stanford universities and has served as a board member and chairperson of Intersection for the Arts.  He lives in San Francisco.
